| Dance Shoes The dance shoe is a very important part of the dance costume. Not only does it provide a comfortable fit for the dance foot, but it also can prevent knee and ankle injuries. Dance shoe's are designed to allow the dancer to complete turns with the minimum of strain on the legs and feet. They typically are made with a suede or hard rubber sole to minimize traction with the floor. They are extremely flexible allowing the dancer a wide range of motion with the foot. Nothing is more important to the dancer than the feet and legs.
